AIA Continuing Education Programs  

The Architectural Precast Association is proud to support the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education System (CES). The APA currently has two AIA Continuing Education Programs available to Architects: the Building Your Vision Seminar Series, the lunch box PowerPoint Presentation which offers one to three learning units, and a Production Facility Tour which offers one learning unit. Take advantage of these great opportunities to share the benefits of using architectural precast concrete products while building professional relationships with your local design community. If you would like more information on providing an AIA CE Program with Architects in your area, please contact us. If you conduct any of these programs, please complete the AIA/CES Program Completion (Provider Form B) and submit to APA within two weeks of the program to receive certificates. Please also complete the evaluation form in order to assess the program.

Courses Offered:

Building Your Vision Seminar Series (1-3 Learning Units):

This Seminar series is delivered face-to-face by an APA Certified Manufacturer. They are typically offered in a Lunch and Learn format and held in the Architect's office or other convenient location. The complete Series is designed to provide Architects with an overview of the types and benefits of architectural precast concrete. In addition, you'll share the early consultation points that help ensure the timely and cost-efficient use of architectural precast concrete. Finally, the variety of textures and finish applications that are available for architectural precast concrete will be reviewed.

Architectural Precast: Building Your Vision – APA005:
After this course you will know: The unique benefits and common applications of using architectural precast as a building material. The production processes of architectural precast. The final considerations for shipping and installing architectural precast for your project.
 
Cast Stone: Building Your Vision – APA006:
After this course you will know: The unique benefits and common applications of using cast stone as a building material. The production processes of cast stone. The final considerations for shipping and installing cast stone for your project.

Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC): Building Your Vision – APA007:
After this course you will know: The unique benefits and common applications of using GFRC as a building material. The production processes of GFRC. The final considerations for shipping and installing GFRC for your project.

Architectural Precast Concrete Practices (1 Learning Unit):This one hour Production Facility Tour fosters an interactive learning experience as Architects observe the manufacturing processes of Architectural Precast Concrete products.
